Girls Day Out

Holy guacamole were there a lot of people here on July 3rd! Over 32,000 people joined us at Arlington for our racing and fireworks extravaganza! Hope everybody had fun...that was quite a show. (And a big thanks to 11 year old Ryan for winning me that stuffed animal pig!)

When summer is in full swing, it is the best time to relax outside and hangout with friends, and I've noticed that a lot of ladies have figured out that Arlington is a perfect location for their girls day out.

My mom recently decided to have her and her friends from high school out to the track. They went to the Terrace Cafe and had such a great time! They couldn't stop talking about it. When the day ended and they realized they had to leave each other and the premises they decided to come back the following Friday. Now it is a weekly girls day out...no stresses of kids (yeah you'd be stressed if you had me as a kid) or work!

They aren't the only ones who have figured it out. Every time I walk around the track and talk to people there are always different things people are celebrating...weddings, birthdays, playing hooky from work, graduations, being alive, the invention of beer, bachelor parties, and bachelorette parties.

The bachelorette parties really caught my eye since I will be planning one soon for my friend Beth's wedding. Everyone seems to be having sooo much fun so I decided I'm going to have her bachelorette party at the track! That was an easy decision!

If you need to celebrate something, even something like it being a a day that ends in day, this is the place to do it. Entertainment, music, food, alcohol, and the chance to win...that's my winning combination.
